ADOPT A TEACHER
Do you see the need? We need God-filled teachers educating our children.
But what can you do? You probably already have your own job and responsibilites. You can't become a teacher, too.
What can you do? Adopt a Teacher is a program designed by teachers to further the cause of Christian education. It allows you--whoever you are-- to have a part in making God's dream come true!
So how does Adopt a Teacher work? You make a pledge to give a certain amount of money each month. Your donation is combined with the donations of others like yourself to pay the salary of one teacher. For example, to support one California teacher costs roughly $1,600 per month. It would only take 40 people giving $40 a month to pay full salary for one California teacher. And, of course, if you can give more, the goal can be reached more quickly.
What are the long-term goals of Adopt a Teacher? We definitely do not want to support only California Teachers. However, since this is where the current need is this is where we plan to begin. Ultimately, as God moves on the hearts of others, Adopt a Teacher will help support teachers all over America. And you can have a part in this awesome work! "He who co-operates with the divine purpose in imparting to the youth a knowledge of God, and molding the character into harmony with His, does a high and noble work." He helps with "an education that secures to the successful student his passport from the prepratory school of earth to the higher grade, the school above." (Education pg., 19)
What, if anything, is holding you back? Teachers have given themselves wholeheartedly to teach children and youth. Please help them continue what they have been called to do!
How can I start? Simply send us an e-mail on our "Contact Us" page. Provide us with your name, address, and phone number or e-mail address. Let us know how much you would like to contribute each month. It's that simple.
What then? You will receive the following:
- A picture of the teacher you are helping to support.
- A small description of who he/she is, where they work, and why they chose to teach.
- Labels for mailing your contributions.
- Satisfaction--knowing you're helping today's children and youth.
- Treasure in Heaven.

- The support of a California teacher includes minimum wage salary, taxes, and workmen's compensation.
